Just before embarking on this business venture, Latorie was the Director at a faith based Child Development Center and Early Head Start Center in Columbia, SC for over 4 years. She is a Certified Trainer and Certified Technical Assistance Provider for South Carolina’s Center for Child Care Career Development as well as an Early Childhood Program Consultant and Mentor throughout the state of South Carolina. Latorie enjoys training and inspiring others in the Early Childhood, business, and management fields.
Latorie is a proud member of the American Business Women Association (ABWA), in which she is active locally, state-wide, and nationally. She is a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars (OES) and a volunteer for My Sister’s House. She currently serves as the President of one of the School Improvement Council (SIC) Boards in Berkeley County School District. Latorie previously served on the School Improvement Council (SIC) Board and Parent Teacher Association in the Richand/Lexington 5 School District.
In 2003, Latorie was one of the recipient of the National Who’s Who in American Junior College Award. In 2014, she was awarded ABWA’s Woman of the Year for the Midlands Chapter in Columbia, SC. She received the honorary 2018 ‘Top 20 Under 40’ for the South Carolina Black Pages. In June of 2018, Latorie received the prestigious award as one of the 2019 Top Ten Women of ABWA. In October of 2018, Latorie received the highest honor within the American Business Women’s Association as the national 2019 American Business Woman of ABWA.
